It was a memorable occasion as Dr Halyna Hrynyshyn attended the grand opening of
the 7th Ukrainian Education Hub in Great Britain, located in the heart of Cheltenham.
This new hub is part of a prestigious global network of over 80 hubs worldwide,
funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, aimed at promoting
lifelong learning and developing Ukrainian cultural capital across Europe and
Canada.
The opening event, hosted by Yevgeniya Zhyryakova, Head of the UA EduHub in the
UK, featured inspiring speeches from local government representatives, moving
performances by Ukrainian musical groups, and excellent networking opportunities.
She had the particular pleasure of meeting SWRRC Advisors Dr Liudmyla Batsenko
and Roman Halenin, as well as sharing this moment with colleagues from the
Ukrainian school in Malvern, Natalia Kuchmak and Vita Piddubna, and reconnecting
with teachers from the “Kolo” Ukrainian school in Gloucester.
The SWRR Centre believes this hub is set to become a vital platform for everyone
who values the power of community, education, and social progress. We extend our
heartfelt thanks to the organisers for such a warm welcome and for creating a space
where the Ukrainian spirit continues to thrive.
