The Society, War and Recovery Research Centre marks the beginning of a new
research project exploring the contribution of the Ukrainian community to life in
Malvern Hills District. This study is conducted in collaboration with Malvern Hills
District Council and in partnership with Korosten–Malvern Twinning Association.
The Ukrainian community makes a tangible contribution to local life every day —
through work, entrepreneurship, raising families, paying taxes, and active
participation in the community. This research aims to gather clear evidence of this
contribution and produce an official report for the Council and policymakers.
The findings will have practical significance as the UK government continues to
review its policies regarding the status of Ukrainians in Britain. Strong evidence of
community contribution will help inform these decisions.
Dr Halyna Hrynyshyn, who leads this research, invites members of the Ukrainian
community in Malvern Hills to take part in the survey, which was launched on 22
